British Citizens spend more on overseas property

The UK Office for National Statistics reports spending on overseas property has risen by 45%.

Over £23 billion has been spent on property. Some 257,000 Britons.

Spain and France are the most popular. The Spanish Ministry of Tourism estimates that 1 million foreigners will buy a second home in Spain during the next 6 years.

Other destinations such as Bulgaria, Portugal, Croatia and Cyprus are increasing in popularity.
